Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this experience.
Stop at: Hotel, Puno port, Uros Floating Islands, Lake Titicaca and Puno, Peru.
9:00 AM – Hotel to Uros Islands
Navigating to Uros Islands
Our driver and guide will meet you at your hotel in Puno city for the transfer to the port, according to the location of your hotel this might take from 10 min up to 20 min.
Then navigate to Southern or Northern Uros reed floating Islands by a motorboat for about 30 minutes, on the way your guide delivers some clue information about Lake Titicaca facts and the history of the pre-Columbian civilizations.
10:00 AM Reed Boat ride on the highest navigable Lake
Cutting reeds from a typical boat
On arrival at the floating Islands, we’ll disembark at a local family’s reed house. We’ll visit the non-touristy side of the floating Islands, a less commercial place with stunning scenery.
You’ll gently ride a typical reed boat across the blue horizon. The friendly family will perform how the reeds are cut, how the Islands are built just using Totora reed and root.
Making reed souvenirs
But before it, the local family will firstly show you how they tie the bundle of fresh green reeds. A gorgeous scenery and landscape where is possible to watch the local birds and learn more about them.

You’ll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy this beautiful place. Believe us this remote place is peaceful in the vastness of the lake.
12:00 PM – Lunch on the floating Island
Following the local activity of getting the reeds, you’ll navigate through the set of almost 100 reed islands by motorboat.
Lunch on Uros lodge
The lunch place is mostly located in the Northern side of the floating village. You’ll have grilled Trout or chicken, Quinoa or rice, vegetables and hot drink.
1:30 PM – Port to hotel
You’ll be on your way back to Puno port and transferred to your hotel, bus terminal or anywhere in downtown.
